“Control the Chaos” No End in Sight! More CTC Shows, Updates & News…

May 12, 2009 - (Las Vegas, NV-USA)
Teen metal sensations, Control the Chaos definitely know the meaning of hard work. The kids continue to add shows to their already packed summer line-up, covering much of the local Vegas scene as well as venturing up and down the west coast with shows confirmed in both Los Angeles and Portland.

In addition to adding new shows at their own hometown venues: Gallo's, The Farm, Cheyenne Saloon and Yayo's, the band has teamed up with Portland, Oregon rockers "The Hell Candidates" and "Shelter Red" to host a superbly sinister night of heavy metal at the beginning of August. In exchange, the band will make a late summer tour into the Pacific Northwest to spread a little Molten Metal into Starbucks country. It also does well to mention that the Phoenix troupe "Back From Ashes" will bring their sledge-hammer sound to Las Vegas in mid-August, with Control the Chaos opening the show for what is gearing up to be one of the most brutal line-ups just in time for back-to-school.

CTC is also proud to support the launch of M411 Video Music Magazine, a new media entity covering the hottest local acts on the Vegas scene. Take a look at the preview video on M411's site and you might hear a familiar tune on the soundtrack, Control the Chaos' aggressive melody "I Become Monster".

"It's a huge compliment to have CTC's music included in the launch of M411's video. We take a lot of pride that we were given this opportunity and we're extremely excited to see the local scene covered in a new and unique way. M411 is gonna explode all over the Vegas music scene and we're lucky to see it from the very beginning. Thanks to all of the folks working the magic behind the movement. M411 is truly a class act," states Ed Fassio, Band Manager.

In online news, the band is ecstatic to announce significant milestones in both MySpace and Google exposure. CTC now ranks as the #1 top search engine return in their class, a status typically reserved for the most accomplished entities. Through this major achievement, the band's popularity is experiencing another level of increase. This positive effect has already started to trickle into additional CTC traffic on other social networking sites such as Facebook and ReverbNation, where Control the Chaos has seen a jump in Global ranks and has already jumped into the top "10" for "most popular" band rankings on the Vegas music scene.

Media coverage and press "buzz" is hotter than ever about Control the Chaos. Popular webzine "HardRock Hideout" just ran a story about the band's upcoming summer performance schedule and ListenSecure.com has named CTC their featured artist for the launch of their internet radio station. Speaking of airplay, CTC joined Tampa's own Holes & Hearts for a quick radio spot on Party95.5 to announce their H&H's CD Release tour (they've recently signed to Mongrol Records of LA). Control the Chaos will join brothers Casey & Riley as they rock across the nation, hosting 2 shows in Las Vegas for an unprecedented night of youth gone Wild! Lastly, CTC was added to the Morning Metal Show playlist on Burbank California's 92.5KYHY "The Why" radio station. Things just keep getting hotter and hotter... Molten Metal indeed!!

In addition to press, the CTC rockers recently placed into the semi-finals for the Vegas Rocks Magazine "Teen Metal Meltdown" competition to crown the hottest teen metal band in Vegas. Holding their own against local heavy weights has been both challenging and enlightening to the band. The next showcase is back at The Farm on May 20th, 2009. As always, CTC's updated show schedule can always be found via their MySpace page www.myspace.com/controlthechaos7744

There's so much more to share in the world of "Molten Metal". Stay tuned for future blogs about CTC's completed first album, sneak peeks into tracks from their second EP and new merchandise including hot new t-shirt designs, DVD footage of the band at work and at play as well as exclusive items only available from the guys, in person.

KEEP BANGIN'

P.S. - from the band:
We're off to LA for their second invitation back to the Whisky a Go-Go... thanks to all the amazing fans that are driving all the way out to come to the show. And for our SoCal fans waiting for our arrival, come prepared to rock your underwear off. We're bringin' DAMAGE to you MF'ers!!!

Control the Chaos Heats up for a Summer of Shows!!

April 22, 2009 (Las Vegas, NV) - Always hard-working, never stopping, totally on fire, Molten-Metal Vegas teen rockers, Control the Chaos are blazing up with late spring and summer show dates!!

"We are extremely busy with live performances, getting ready for the official launch of our FULL first album and being back in the studio again, working on even more music.  On top of that, we've got video production work to address as well and several out of state trips coming up.  It's absolutely crazy," states Ed Fassio, CTC band manager.

Since September of 2008, Control the Chaos has been making significant headway on the local Vegas and west coast music scene. With a travel schedule that includes LA, Salt Lake, Portland and Seattle, the band's popularity continues to grow nation-wide, and with the addition of a lead vocalist in March of this year, the band's musical progression is just as equal.

"There is an intensity that's building. It's pretty awesome and we're having a ton of fun," says Brandon Rojas, CTC's vocalist.

"It's an every day, every minute thing with this band. We literally, eat, breathe, shit and rock.  That's what we do," added Hector Gomez, drummer for the band.

Control the Chaos upcoming schedule includes many ALL AGES and FREE performances, including shows at Vegas' Premier All Ages venue - "The Farm" and Hollywood's world-famous "Whisky a Go-Go".  Late April, the band performs in front of guitar legend, Zakk Wylde from Black Label Society and Ozzy Osbourne.  The show is a competition of bands paying tribute to Sabbath and Ozzy tunes and will be held on the legendary "Fremont Street" in Las Vegas on April 30th at the El Premier Rock Club.

Vegas to Hollywood, CTC Rocks SpringBreak in SoCal

Current mood: accomplished
Category: Music
April 6, 2009 - W. Hollywood, CA (USA) -

Traffic on the US-101 was predictable. Congested, slow. A quick glance at the gas gauge warns that we'd better make a petrol stop if we wanted to avoid problems. We exit in Echo Park only to meet even more congestion and gridlock. A quick redirect on the GPS has us heading westward again in no time. We're still six miles away, but we're officially on "the Sunset Strip" and we begin to take in the sites and sounds of Tinseltown, natives yet tourists. It's a picture-perfect day, about 80 degrees. Three car loads transport the Las Vegas teen metal band, Control the Chaos and an assortment of amplifiers, guitars and music gear towards our destination.

With anticipation, we pass other famous icons: Santa Monica Boulevard, Vine Street. We cruise past the GC "Rock-Walk" and bathe in the shadow of the big, white letters that spell H-O-L-L-Y-W-O-O-D on the slope before us. Anticipation grows as we turn the corner past La Cienega. We see the House of Blues on our left and begin surveying the surrounding buildings for any early glimpse of the Whisky building.

As Clark Street comes into view, an excitement builds. All passengers stare in unison at the marquee facing Sunset Boulevard. Twenty feet in the air, the words "Whisky a Go-Go" are unmistakeable against the horizon. And in the exact same snapshot, exactly four feet underneath the building placard, in bold black lettering against a pale-white background four additional words stand-out, shouting our arrival: "TONIGHT: CONTROL THE CHAOS"

Anxious, we find the closest, empty parking spot and make our way towards the entrance. Everyone's smiling. We're really here.

There's an impossible darkness that engulfs the senses for the first ten seconds of transition from Sunset Boulevard through the portal that delivers us on to the main floor of the bar. A coolness tints the air as the moist, earthen aromas fill the nostrils. As eyes adjust from the brightness of the LA sun to the barely lit lair, a row of bright red booths aligned against the interior wall begins to appear. Stretched in the distance are neon illuminations labeling the restrooms. Ahead, barely forty feet separates our soles from the souls of legends. All eyes quickly transfix on the elevated platform that is clearly the focal point of the room. Lavishly adorned with long black curtains, a sea of electronic cables and PA monitors, the riser looks as inviting as it is intimidating. Small rips and stains in the carpet are as historic as the floorboards beneath. The stage sits silent, but there is a definite audible pulse to it's presence.

The rest of the lower level appears empty, aside from the sound of funk and jazz fading in and out through the central sound system. A few volume adjustments and equalized variations later, the groove finds the perfect balance within our ear drums and now, the full spectrum of our environment comes into visual and aural focus. We've arrived at the world-famous, Whisky a Go-Go nightclub in West Hollywood. The only venue still in operation that has been inducted into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame and the defacto standard and prerequisite stage for any aspiring rock act. It is this same establishment which gave voice to legendary artists such as Jimmy Hendrix and Joplin, Led Zeppelin and The Doors and the christened birthplace of LA rock giants Guns-N-Roses and Motley Crue. This shortlist pales in comparison to the lengthy guestbook of performers that have raised this roof. A quick glance upwards exposes a staircase to the upper level and an overhanging balcony, surrounding the primary sound booth.

The sound engineer, "Slava" barely acknowledges our initial presence. We wait patiently as he continues to fuss with sliders and knobs. Our basic questions are typical: Hello...Where do we park? Where do we sign in? Where do we load? Pony-tailed and peering out from round-rimmed glasses he extends a hand-shake and shuffles a few pieces of paper to our attention. He then goes about administering instructions as to where we should stage our gear, what time to anticipate sound-check and where we can grab a quick bite to eat before the show. Parking is in the alley, where we should be able to find an attendant already on duty. "You guys are first, so you sound-check last," Slava announces. He points to a second figure, buried under the far counter. "This is Sam, our front-of-house engineer. When it's your turn, he'll help adjust your monitors. Sit tight and thanks for being on time. Oh, and you get five extra minutes on your set tonight." With that, he smiles and leaves us to carry out his orders. He moves on towards new shadows that have entered the doorway. It's exactly three hours before show time and the other bands have begun to show up...

By 7pm, sound check for all performers was complete. Some early fans began to mull the main floor, most looking for a drink as relief from a hot and long day. All seemed ready to be entertained. Whisky security ushered the growing crowd outside stating that everyone must remain outside until the official opening, band members included.

As directed, we exited through the same door we had entered a few hours earlier. This time the scene had changed. Gone was the western sunshine. The element had transformed into full-on nightlife. The street was alive with brightness and noise. Traffic staged at every corner. Sidewalks full of pedestrians and passers-by. Outside of the Whisky an attendant was signing in the band members and stamping our hands for re-entry. A quick review of our crew and guest list was reviewed with the floor manager and all was in place. It was at this time that we noticed familiar faces along the sidewalk. Family, friends, fans. Many locals from the Los Angeles area, and some suprising faces had driven all the way from Las Vegas to show their support. The excitement and anticipation begain to fill again. We took in everything around us, to savor the moment. Then we noticed it...The line.

Wow. A very impressive line for a Monday night. A line of people wrapped around the corner, farther than could be seen from the main entrance. A line that we had not expected so early in the evening, for our first time in town.

The doorman officially opened the club doors at 7:15pm. Bands entered first, where CTC quickly posted near stage, right. The upstairs balcony soon reached capacity. The red booths, filled. Lines began to form at each bar. Laughter, voices, music... all filled the air. The main floor became peppered with spectators. A bartender arrived carrying waters for the band, which were quickly positioned at optimal locations for each member.

One final prayer, one final look. "Kick ass guys" were the the final words mentioned. The lights dimmed, "Control the Chaos' flashed across the video monitors and the emcee announced the start of the show. A perfect sounding, amazingly entertaining CTC show would extend the next 35 minutes. One of the band's best, and the cheers and screams of the audience confirmed our acceptance.

Two days later, we would be invited back to play on a prime night back at the Whisky. A Friday night in May. Stay tuned world... we can't wait to get back to LA!!!

Vegas teen molten metal band, “Control the Chaos” announced today that it has joined the ranks of legendary rock legends before them by booking a peformance at premier venue “Whisky-A-Go-Go” on Hollywood California’s Sunset Strip.

“We grew up listening to the bands that performed on that stage. We always dreamed of getting up there and having our own experience. The opportunity is amazing and we’re totally stoked about this,” states Ed Fassio, band Manager.

“All I’ve got to say is… The Doors. The freakin’ Doors played there!” added Hector “Beast” Gomez, drummer for CTC. “This is just too cool.”

“Wow, we’re really humbled to be able to take the same stage as the legends of rock that we look up to. Their music is the reason we do this,” stated Zachary Fassio, guitarist for the band.

Since September of 2007, Control the Chaos has been making a huge mark on the local Vegas music scene. Starting off playing on the equally significant Las Vegas strip, the young metal rockers have grown their fan-base to an impressive international footprint and have grabbed the attention and respect of media, critics and the local artist community. With over 50 shows to their resume thus far, the band continues to grow and evolve into a budding power-house for solid rock performance and the heavy-metal genre.

Current mood: stoked

What an exciting and CRAZY week in the world of Control the Chaos!

Things have been going about a million miles and hour and it looks like Vegas Molten Metal has oozed all over the Las Vegas valley.

Our latest show updates have been posted, so be sure to check 'em out. We're happy to announce that we'll be doing 3 upcoming ALL AGES shows in the coming weeks...

The first is out at the Dumont Dunes for Halloween. CTC is the headliner that night so if you're a local band that doesn't mind the drive out to the desert for an insanely METAL good time, then hit us up -we'd love to share the stage! We immensely thank CHUGLIFE for inviting us along!

Secondly, In keeping with the INCREDIBLE momentum and turn-out we had from our legendary Desert Show, we've teamed up again with our friends from SexPop Suicide and Shotgunz-N-Gasoline to bring another ALL AGES, North Las Vegas event to DeerSprings Park on 11/1. This should be tons of fun and we expect a full turn out of crazy teens from nearby Shadow Ridge and Centennial H.S. to come show their devil-horns! Bring some money and grab some grub and merchandise. REPREZENT!

Speaking of CHUGLIFE, a big thanks goes out to Chris & Michelle for their continued support of the band. As a result, you should see CTC and Chuglife doing more and more together in the coming weeks including an upcoming Spring Break tour in March 2009 which starts at Lake Havasu and circles through California and Arizona. This will be one PHENOMENAL Spring break and Control the Chaos is proud to be a part of it. Stay tuned for more details and remember that CHUGLIFE is a WAY OF LIFE!

Moving right along... our partnership with Don Melendez (Seventy2) from Crimson Brand has been one of the best things we could've done. Don has been responsible for the incredible artwork (including the extremely popular B&W SpiderSkull T-Shirt logo) and our October and forthcoming November Vegas Rocks Magazine ads. The artwork is just SICK, SICK, SICK! Very soon, our web property: www.ctcrox.com will be functional and updated with new concepts from Crimson. So be sure to check it out and we'll put out an announcement when it goes LIVE! Thanks Don!! (BTW - if you're a band in need of some great design work, let us know and we'll pass along your information to Crimson)

With November right around the corner we have to mention 2 MAJOR events coming on our calendar: First up, MISSING BLIND presents the Desert Music Festival (Desfest 08) out in Pahrump, NV on 11/7 & 8th. This will be pure mayhem. 2 days, in the desert, 30 bands, 2 stages and people going out of their minds. CTC is on the bill and Big thanks to Eddie from Missing Blind for putting this together! Second up is Rockfest @ the famous Cheyenne Saloon on 11/14 & 11/15. This one is just as brutal with 20 bands over 2 days! Propz to Justin from Sideshow for letting Control the Chaos take stage at a prime spot right before Death Con 5. U rock man!

Also in late November (11/28) we'll be back at the Puff Lounge hosted by Vegas Rocks Magazine for another Friday night of METAL. Thanks to our friends from Sister of Pain for securing this spot. Deacon, u da man!

Also, be sure to pick up the NOVEMBER ISSUE OF VEGAS ROCKS MAGAZINE which will have a spotlight on CTC. Sally, Steve - u guys are awesome, thanks so much!! Also BIG KUDOS to Aaron Briese for taking some INCREDIBLE photos during our recent performances which will also be in the mag. Aaron, you're a friend and a professional! Awesome photos man! THANKS!

Sliding into December we have the Holiday Havoc @ the ever-popular Joint inside the Hard-Rock Hotel & Casino. CTC will be in attendance to check out this hot ticket. We'll also be making a stop back at one of our favorite home-town spots, the 4 Aces where the staff has been amazing to us! We'll also be making our presence at a place we've been wanting to play for a while- JJ's on Water St in Henderson, NV. Our December show date there will be announced as soon as it gets finalized.

So... we mentioned 2 All Ages shows and a bunch of 21+ shows, but what about the THIRD all ages show????

Drum roll please...

Control the Chaos is VERY proud to announce that we'll be playing Valentine's Day, Saturday February 14th at one of the hottest live music venues on the strip - JILLIAN'S on Fremont St. We've teamed up with MONSTER ENERGY drink to take the opening stage for a national act (TBA). As anyone in Vegas already knows, Jillian's is THE PLACE for today's hottest acts in music and it is also the premiere venue for some of the best ALL AGES shows in town. Thanks to Nathan from MONSTER, Liz from VSB, Vegas Radio Station 107.5 and CTC's own Joe Gouveia for getting this booked!! More details to come, so check back often!

Okay... that's about HALF the stuff that's going on right now. There's just too much to cover and my hands are tired of typing.
